The magical Cocora Valley is the home of Colombia’s national tree and symbol, the wax palm. This tall endangered palm dots the landscape of this extension to Los Nevados National Park, which is a popular day trip from nearby Salento.
Santa Cruz and Savaneta are two districts making up the central part of Aruba. They feature some popular natural and historic attractions.
Noord is the northernmost district of Aruba. It’s the tourist zone and where you’ll find the biggest resorts and some of the best restaurants. There are also lots of attractions in the area. I’ll list them here starting from the north and working my way south.

While in Coveñas, we decided to take a day trip to the San Bernardo Islands (Islas de San Bernardo). These islands are part of the Rosario and San Bernardo Corals National Park in Colombia. Tours leave from Tolú.
La Ronda del Sinú is a public park in the city of Montería, Colombia. It runs between the Sinú River and the city center for about 20 blocks, making it the longest lineal park in Latin America. It was our favorite attraction in the city by far.
Buritaca is a beautiful natural place near Tayrona National Park in Colombia where a pristine river meets the Caribbean sea.
