These two small island chains make up a national park in the Caribbean Sea. The Rosario Islands are easily accessible for day trips from Cartagena, while the San Bernardo Islands can be reached from Tolú. There are also several resorts to choose from for overnight stays or day trips.
With more exclusive resorts and guaranteed peace and quiet, the Rosario Islands are the best alternative to the unfortunate mess that has become Playa Blanca. To get further away from the action, head to the San Bernardo Islands.
