Santa Cruz de Mompox is a magical town along the Magdalena River, seemingly stuck in time. It’s a Colombian Heritage Town (Pueblo Patrimonio) as well as a UNESCO World Heritage site. You can see it in a day, but it’s best to stay for two or three to take your time and soak in the atmosphere.
