Bright Angel Point is a spectacular scenic viewpoint at Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s accessed via a short ½ mile round-trip trail from the Grand Canyon Lodge at the North Rim.
The Trail
The paved trail is short but steep, taking hikers along a narrow ridge. There are some great views of the Grand Canyon on both sides of the ridge.
The views from Bright Angel Point give visitors an appreciation at the vastness of the Grand Canyon. It’s possible to spot the South Rim about 10 miles away across the canyon. You can also see portions of Cottonwood Campground, which is 4,000 feet below the rim.
