Inspiration Point is one of the four spectacular viewpoints of Bryce Amphitheater at Bryce Canyon National Park in Utah. You can reach it by car, shuttle, or hiking all or part of the the 5.5 mile Rim Trail.
There are three levels of viewpoints at Inspiration Point. Each one gives a different perspective on the amphitheater. There are no trails that go down into the amphitheater from this viewpoint. It’s also a very dangerous spot. There are sheer drops, slippery slopes, and crumbly rocks. It’s highly recommended to stay on trails and not cross over railings.
Bryce Amphitheater
Bryce Amphitheater is the main attraction at the park. It was created over millions of years of erosion, exposing pinnacles called hoodoos that are up to 200 feet high.
Bryce Amphitheater is the largest of a series of amphitheaters in the park. It’s named for Ebenezer Bryce, an early Mormon pioneer who settled near the canyon in 1870.
The other viewpoints are Sunset Point, Sunrise Point, and Bryce Point.
