I really enjoy eating at To Bahari (Το Μπαχάρι), which is located in Agia Ermioni in Chios, Greece. Tim, Nilda, Canan, and I ate there twice in a week and were extremely happy with the quality of the food and the friendly and attentive service.

Note: This entry was written when the restaurant was located on the main road through Karfas (Καρφάς). They have since moved to Agia Ermioni.

First Dinner

For our first dinner, we shared several dishes. Our favorites were the baked eggplants topped with cheese and tomato, octopus, calamari, and Greek village salad. We also had skordalia, fried zucchini, loukaniko (Greek sausage), and beets.

Drinks

For both dinners, we washed down our meal with Fresh Chios Beer and a bottle of Ouzo Psyhis. Both are locally made products.

Conclusion

To Bahari will be a place I visit on every future trip to Chios. We couldn’t have had a better experience. Our meals were very reasonably priced considering the amount of food we ordered including drinks. We also had a vegetarian in our group, Nilda, and there were plenty of options on the menu for her.
