The ambulatory of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre runs in a semi-circle on the east side of the building along the vault of the Catholicon. The church is part of the UNESCO World Heritage listing for the Old City of Jerusalem.

Our final stop on Mount Zion was Dormition Abbey, a German Benedictine abbey just around the corner from the Cenacle and King David’s Tomb.
Our visit to Mount Zion started with a walk through the complex, following signs to the building housing King David’s Tomb and the Cenacle. King David’s Tomb is on the ground floor while the Cenacle is on the upper floor. This entry covers the Cenacle only.
