As one of the top cities in the world for graffiti, the Bogotá Graffiti Tour is quite possibly the best tour in Bogotá. It’s held twice daily and run by the street artists themselves.

Joining the Bogotá Graffiti Tour

Tours are free with a suggested donation of US$12 per person (as of December 2024). The tours meet at Journalists Park (Parque de los Periodistas). They run daily at 10am and 2pm and are in English only. The tour lasts about 2 ½ hours but time flies by because you’re always anticipating what’s around the next corner. You can get more info and make a reservation on the official website.

Private tours are available any time between 7am and 4pm. Get in touch with the team via WhatsApp for tour options and pricing.

Our Experience on the Bogotá Graffiti Tour

Our guide was J, a Colombian who grew up in New York City. He did a fantastic job of keeping the group of over 50 people organized and on schedule. J was enthusiastic and was able to answer every single question with a thorough response.

The tour isn’t just about looking at the incredible street art and graffiti in the La Candelaria area. J told us the background of nearly each artist and the story behind each piece we visited. He also gave us a history of the area as we walked past important landmarks.

As the tour progressed, we were able to see more and more amazing works of art, finishing with some provocative political pieces. J explained the symbolism behind each political work, and told the tourists the truth about government corruption and other reasons for the graffiti.
