Albuquerque is an interesting city to spend a couple days. There are some great museums, important historic sites, and plenty of cultural activities. It also makes a great base for excursions to natural places and smaller towns.

I was impressed with what I saw in my short time in the city. We were limited on time and only spent a full day there. I hope to go back and see much more.

Getting There

Albuquerque has flights from all over the United States into Albuquerque International Sunport. It’s known for its architecture and cultural decor. The airport is also very close and well-connected to the city.

Howard Johnson Albuquerque Midtown

We stayed at the Howard Johnson by Wyndham Albuquerque Midtown. It’s conveniently located a short drive from downtown and Old Town and right off I-25. The hotel is what you’d expect from a Howard Johnson. It’s not great but it does the job. We did like the view from our room, however.

IncomplEAT

There are some very good restaurants in Albuquerque, but we didn’t visit any of them. When we arrived, we ended up getting fast food and eating in the hotel room after a long day. The next day we had dinner at a brewpub but it wasn’t very memorable. My exploration of local restaurants is…incomplEAT.
