The UNESCO World Heritage listed port city of Valparaíso is the graffiti capital of Chile. It’s got some of the best street art in South America. The murals I saw scattered throughout the city were very impressive. Some of them are easy to find while others are a bit out of the way. Many I saw are not included here:

Graffiti Tours

If you have some extra time and are interested in seeing more of this art, you can take a graffiti tour of Valparaíso with Valpo Street Art Tours. They’ve been running tours since 2011. They offer both free tip-based tours and paid tours, which can go to places that can be unsafe for tourists to visit alone.

Free tours leave from Plaza Aníbal Pinto daily at 10:30am (except Sundays) and at 3:30pm (as of October 2024). The paid tours are more in-depth and can be done on foot, in a vehicle, and you can even do a graffiti workshop. I didn’t have a chance to do the tour but I will on my next visit.
