The UNESCO World Heritage listed port city of Valparaíso is the graffiti capital of Chile. It’s got some of the best street art in South America. The murals I saw scattered throughout the city were very impressive. Some of them are easy to find while others are a bit out of the way. Many I saw are not included here:

Graffiti Tours

If you have some extra time and are interested in seeing more of this art, you can take a graffiti tour of Valparaíso with Valpo Street Art Tours. They’ve been running tours since 2011. They offer both free tip-based tours and paid tours, which can go to places that can be unsafe for tourists to visit alone. Prices are current as of October 2025:

  • Free tours leave daily from Plaza Aníbal Pinto. They last about two hours and reservations are required. Tips are highly appreciated.
  • Classic street art walking tours cost US$40 per person for private tours and US$20 per person for semi-private tours.
  • The Back-to-Back tour combines street art and local food. It costs US$80 per person for private tours and US$50 per person for semi-private tours.
  • The Tasting Valparaíso tour is a street art, local food, and wine tasting tour. It costs US$100 per person for private tours and US$75 per person for semi-private tours.
  • The Going All City tour is the most complete of all the tours. It’s in a vehicle and gives you the possibility to see every district in the city. The 2-hour tour is US$50 per person and the 4 ½-hour tour is US$99 per person. You’ll get a discount if you have a group of 3 or more.
  • The Owning the Streets workshop allows you to learn the craft directly from a graffiti artist. It costs US$75 per person for private tours and US$50 per person for semi-private tours.

One last thing to keep in mind – there’s a minimum of 2 people for all paid tours except the Owning the Streets workshop.
