Padua, or Padova, is a city in northern Italy a short distance from Venice. It has a colorful history and is a beautiful place to spend a couple days.
The historic center of Milan (Centro Storico) is not only the city’s oldest area, it’s also a hub of art, culture, and religion. It’s a compact, easily walkable area is full of pleasant piazzas and a mix of medieval, Renaissance, and modern architecture.
University Village is a neighborhood on the Near West Side of Chicago. Other than the university, it’s mostly residential with some retail and decent restaurants.
