The Yıldırım Bayezid Complex (Yıldırım Bayezid Külliyesi) is perched on a hill northeast of the historic city center of Bursa, Turkey. It’s included in the city’s UNESCO World Heritage listing.

From a small square in the UNESCO World Heritage listed old town of Safranbolu, follow the road uphill past restored Ottoman homes and you’ll come to the Kale section of town. From there, you’ll find some great views of the old town.
Hıdırlık Hill (Hıdırlık Tepesi) is a small hill overlooking the UNESCO World Heritage listed old town of Safranbolu. It’s worth the short hike up to the top, where there’s also a tea garden.
While it’s a great place just to wander and take in the incredible scenery and gorgeous Ottoman homes, the UNESCO World Heritage listed old town of Safranbolu has a few other sights to keep a visitor busy during their stay.
In a country of magnificent scenery and history, the old town of Safranbolu is one of Turkey’s finest. This small Black Sea Region town is situated in a ravine and is a UNESCO World Heritage site because of its fine 17th and 18th century Ottoman architecture.
To the south of the main square in the UNESCO World Heritage listed town of Sighişoara is a covered staircase known as the Scholars’ Stairs.
The walls of Sighişoara were part of an effective defensive system to protect the historic citadel. Each tower on the walls was built, owned, and defended by different guilds. There were originally 14 unique towers but only 9 survive today. I was able to see 8 of them.
