Varna is a pleasant port city on the Black Sea with plenty of beaches and cultural attractions. It certainly doesn’t feel like the third largest city in Bulgaria, but it has all the amenities you would expect from a big city.

Shumen was a nice city to visit. There’s not an overwhelming amount to see, but it has a beautiful pedestrian street, some interesting monuments, and the biggest mosque in the country.

Ruse is one of the most beautiful cities in Bulgaria. Located on the Danube River, it has incredible architecture and some interesting attractions.
