The Panama Canal was one of the greatest engineering feats of all time. It’s a must see when visiting Panama City. If you’re not interested in the engineering part of the story, it’s incredible just to see the huge ships passing through.

Filandia is one of the best towns to visit in the Coffee Region of Colombia. It’s become quite the tourist hotspot over the years and has many colorful buildings all over town. Filandia boldly refers to itself as “the most beautiful town in Quindío”, much to the chagrin of its rival town, nearby Salento.
The small town of Belén de Umbría is my home in Colombia. It is a coffee growing town that sits up in the mountains surrounded by a beautiful green landscape. Both the urban area and certain rural areas are part of the UNESCO World Heritage listed Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia.
Parque Consotá is a great recreational park for families. It’s not too far outside Pereira.
