Recuca is a touristic coffee plantation located between the towns of Calarcá and Barcelona, just outside of Armenia. It’s one of the best places to learn about not only the production of coffee from seed to cup but also Colombian coffee culture.
Parque del Café, a coffee-themed amusement park, is located in a beautiful green valley near the towns of Montenegro and Pueblo Tapao in the heart of the Coffee Region.
Filandia is one of the best towns to visit in the Coffee Region of Colombia. It’s become quite the tourist hotspot over the years and has many colorful buildings all over town. Filandia boldly refers to itself as “the most beautiful town in Quindío”, much to the chagrin of its rival town, nearby Salento.
Parque Consotá is a great recreational park for families. It’s not too far outside Pereira.
Cerritos is a suburb just west of Pereira, Colombia. It’s mostly residential but there are a few great hotels and restaurants in the area. Bioparque Ukumarí and Parque Consotá are also located there.
Recinto del Pensamiento is one of the best attractions in Manizales. It’s a peaceful nature park a short drive east of the city center.
Villamaría is a town just outside the city of Manizales in the Coffee Region of Colombia. Some rural parts of the town are included in the UNESCO World Heritage listed Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia.
