The historic plaza in the center of Buenos Aires, Plaza de Mayo, contains a lot of interesting buildings and landmarks to keep you busy. The beautifully landscaped area always seems to be buzzing with some kind of excitement.

The “village” of Los Dominicos is located in the Las Condes area of Santiago, Chile. You can get there by taking the red line to the very last metro stop.
One of the most recognizable buildings in Santiago is Palacio de La Moneda. It’s the presidential headquarters of Chile, and was built between 1784-1799 by the Spanish as a mint.

Ever since I got to Chile, I always complained about the lack of seafood on restaurant menus. Chile has a coastline that’s as long as the US is wide. It’s famous for pottery and authentic Chilean food, and most of what’s worth seeing is along a five block stretch of the main road in town. It’s super touristy, but still charming and pleasant enough to enjoy a nice afternoon.
For my trip to the World Cup in Brazil, I needed to get a Brazilian tourist visa.
