Ladrilleros is a laid-back Pacific coast beach popular with Colombians but well off the beaten path for foreigners. It’s got a decent beach that sits underneath tall cliffs. The entire settlement is surrounded by Uramba Bahía Málaga National Park.
Getting to Ladrilleros can be a bit of an adventure. The only way to get there is with a one hour boat trip from Buenaventura to Juanchaco.
There are over 16 miles of trails at Indiana Dunes State Park. All of the trails pass through the Dunes Nature Preserve, which was designated a National Natural Landmark in 1974.
Indiana Dunes State Park is the older sister of the Indiana Dunes National Park. Founded in 1925 after years of efforts by conservationists, the park is surrounded on three sides by the National Park and by Lake Michigan to the north. It consists of 2,182 acres of natural landscape a few miles north of the town of Chesterton.
Museum Campus is a park on the Near South Side of Chicago that contains three of the city’s best museums, Soldier Field, and the largest convention center in North America, McCormick Place.
We couldn’t visit Salt Lake City without seeing the Great Salt Lake. We decided to make a day trip out to Antelope Island State Park. The park has miles of hiking, camping, and beaches on the lake as well as a historic ranch. There are also plenty of opportunities for birdwatching and spotting wildlife.
West Beach is the most popular area of Indiana Dunes National Park. It’s located just east of the Miller area of Gary, Indiana.
Porter is a small town in Indiana adjacent to Chesterton. It has some of the most important historic sites in Northwest Indiana.
Miller Woods, located in the Miller area of Gary, Indiana, is the westernmost section of Indiana Dunes National Park.
