Siirt is a city in Southeastern Anatolia that’s off the beaten tourist path. There’s little to see in the city itself but it makes for an interesting stop.
Ahlat is a town on the north shore of Lake Van in Turkey. It’s known for the large number of historic tombstones in the cemetery.
Ani (Անի) is a ruined medieval Armenian city in Eastern Anatolia, right on the border with Armenia. It’s remote but well worth the effort to visit.
