Taparcal is a tiny village just 15 minutes from Belén de Umbría. It’s set beautifully on a small mountain ridge with incredible views in every direction. It’s located within the UNESCO World Heritage listed Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia.

Cerritos is a suburb just west of Pereira, Colombia. It’s mostly residential but there are a few great hotels and restaurants in the area. Bioparque Ukumarí and Parque Consotá are also located there.

Bioparque Ukumarí is a huge nature complex just outside Pereira in Colombia’s Coffee Region. It houses all of the animals from the old Matecaña City Zoo in Pereira, which closed in mid-2015.
The unassuming town of Aguadas, one of Colombia’s prestigious Heritage Towns (Pueblos Patrimonio), has contributed a lot to the country’s culture.
