Santa Cruz and Savaneta are two districts making up the central part of Aruba. They feature some popular natural and historic attractions.
Arikok National Park covers almost 20% of Aruba. It protects the original natural landscape of Aruba as well as important cultural and historical sites. The park was officially established in 2000.
San Nicolas is the southernmost region of Aruba as well as the island’s second largest city. It’s a great place to immerse yourself in local culture and enjoy some beautiful beaches.
Oranjestad is the capital of Aruba and a bustling harbor city full of shops, restaurants, and cultural sites. It sits in the center of the island along the west coast.
Paradera is a district that makes up the north central section of Aruba east of Oranjestad. It’s known mostly for beautiful natural features.
Noord is the northernmost district of Aruba. It’s the tourist zone and where you’ll find the biggest resorts and some of the best restaurants. There are also lots of attractions in the area. I’ll list them here starting from the north and working my way south.
Eagle Beach is by far our favorite beach in Aruba. In fact, it’s consistently rated one of the best beaches in the entire world.
A guide on where to eat in the Noord region of Aruba. Noord encompasses the northernmost section of the island and is the major tourist area. We stayed at a budget hotel in Noord just a few minutes from Palm Beach and most of our meals on the island were near the hotel.
