The Giusti Garden (Giardino Giusti) is an Italian Renaissance garden in the UNESCO World Heritage listed city of Verona, Italy. It’s considered one of the most beautiful gardens in Europe.

History

The garden was planted in 1570 by Agostino Giusti, a nobleman and a knight of the Republic of Venice. It’s located at the Palazzo Giusti, which was built in the 16th century. The garden quickly became famous throughout Europe, attracting some of the most important European emperors, artists, and authors to visit. It preserves its original 16th century features and is still cared for by the Giusti family.

New Bridge

After we finished enjoying the garden, we walked back to our hotel via New Bridge (Ponte Nuovo). From the bridge, we had a great view down the Adige River. You can see the bell tower of Basilica of Saint Anastasia on the left.
