Luxor / الأقصر‎

In ancient Egypt, the people built temples on the East Bank of the Nile and buried their dead on the West Bank. There’s no better place to explore this custom than in Luxor. Much of the Egyptian royalty is buried on the West Bank while the East Bank boasts one of the largest temples ever built, Karnak Temple.

Because the Nile cruise arrived a half-day late, my time in Luxor was rushed. I hope to go back and see it properly.
