Rozo is a small town about 40 minutes from Cali, Colombia. There’s nothing of interest in the town, but there are a few places to swim and have a relaxing day.

Siga La Vaca

We spent a day at Siga La Vaca, which is a waterpark resort featuring a restaurant, pools, and hotel. There’s an entrance fee for both adults and children that changes every year. The entrance fee is COP$45,000, COP$35,000 is deductible from any meals purchased (as of September 2023). For example, if your meal costs COP$48,000, you pay COP$13,000 in the end.

Before and after lunch, we spent some time at the pools. There’s a small pool with a waterfall and a shallow kid’s pool. Both were clean and the water temperature was perfect for the hot day.

For lunch, we had baby beef. It came with a plantain, baked potato, and salad. The sides were great but the steak didn’t taste very fresh.

Other waterparks you can visit are Tardes Caleñas (much bigger and more expensive but with slides and bumper boats) and El Alba (much smaller and more private). Our original plan was to visit El Alba, but it was closed for the day.

Parador de Rozo

If you’re just passing through Rozo, a great place to stop and eat is Parador de Rozo. They serve an excellent fiambre, which is several types of meat, rice, potato, and egg, served in a plantain leaf. There are other traditional Colombian dishes on the menu as well.

Getting There

To get to Rozo, any bus heading north from Cali going “via Rozo” can let you off directly in front of where you need to go, except El Alba.
