The big news of late is that Marisol and I got engaged last week! We will get married in Pereira with the date to be determined. (Update: The wedding took place December 17, 2016)

Our engagement took place in Cali, Colombia, after I returned from a month-long trip to the United States. I had to leave Colombia in order to renew my visa, and took advantage of the time away to buy an engagement ring. While I was away, I also attended the Copa América Centenario, seeing a group stage game featuring Argentina vs Panama and the Colombia vs Chile semifinal. Both games were at Soldier Field in Chicago.

When I returned to Cali, Marisol and I spent a few days there. That’s where we officially got engaged. I then had to rush off to Bogotá to complete the visa process, but we’ve had plenty of time to celebrate with friends and family since.

Lots to Plan!

With the engagement and planning our Greek-Colombian wedding, working on our travel business, and trying to sell my condo in Chicago, that means I probably won’t be doing much traveling until next year. I’ll continue working on formatting and splitting older posts, adding more posts from my big road trip in 2015, and more info about life in Colombia.
