Los Yarumos Ecopark (Ecoparque Los Yarumos) is a nature and recreational park near the city center of Manizales. Admission was free when we visited and there were great views of the city, but the rest of the park was kind of a waste of time. The easiest way to get there is by taxi.

Buildings

There’s a food court with some public art in the center as well as a concert shell. We found that it wasn’t nearly as interesting or organized as Recinto del Pensamiento, and it didn’t seem like anyone worked there. Staff were hard to locate!

Nature Walk

There are couple of nature walks at the park. A short nature walk lasts 30 minutes and a long one lasts 90 minutes. We waited a half hour for the short nature walk but the guide never showed up. We ended up doing the trail by ourselves in 10 minutes and leaving the park.

More Notes

On a positive note for families, Los Yarumos Ecopark is very kid-friendly. There’s a large playground and plenty of activities for children. The park is located within the UNESCO World Heritage listed Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia.
